Some outbound links on this site to donation platforms (currently or in the future: Donorbox, Zeffy, Givebutter) may be affiliate or referral links. If you click such a link and later sign up or transact on that platform, this site may earn a commission — at no additional cost to you or your organization.
Three commitments, so the incentive can't bend the math:
- Rankings are pure arithmetic. The calculator ranks platforms strictly by the fee math on the numbers you enter. There is no paid placement, no sponsored ranking, and no way for a platform to buy a better position. The formula and data are open — see methodology and the source code.
- We carry links for competing platforms. Whichever platform wins your math, the link out works the same way for us — which is precisely why we can afford to be honest.
- Affiliate links are marked. Outbound affiliate links carry the
rel="sponsored"attribute, the machine-readable standard for disclosed commercial links.
This site is independent. It is not owned by, affiliated with, or endorsed by Zeffy, Givebutter, Donorbox, GoFundMe, PayPal, or Stripe. All trademarks belong to their owners and are used only to identify the platforms being compared.
Estimates disclaimer — not financial advice
- All outputs are estimates based on published US-domestic rates and the assumptions you enter. They are provided for general information only and are not financial, tax, accounting, or legal advice.
- Platforms change their pricing. We verify rates against official pricing pages and date every number (see methodology), but the vendor's current pricing page always wins over anything shown here.
- Actual costs vary with payment methods, international donations, AmEx usage, disputes/chargebacks, product type (events, memberships), and negotiated rates — none of which are fully modeled.
- Before committing your organization to a platform, confirm current pricing with the vendor and, where the stakes warrant it, consult a qualified professional.
Privacy
The calculator runs entirely in your browser. The numbers you enter are never transmitted, stored, or seen by us. This site sets no cookies. If privacy-preserving, cookie-less visit counting (Cloudflare Web Analytics) is enabled, it counts page views without tracking individuals.
